She Knew the Way Home

Day 1: She knew the way home. My daughter framed this quote as my Christmas gift. It is how my second book, The Mystery Girl, begins. She made me ugly cry. She said it reminded her of my mother because she was a woman who knew the way home. My daughter is right about that, yet she never had the opportunity to know her grandmother. She said she knew because of the stories I've told.

My mom would have LOVED hearing those words from her youngest granddaughter. She would have promptly pinned them to the Company Towels for all to see, so it becomes the first thought pinned to Mom's Company Towels. Happy New Year!
