Day 81

Updated: Apr 18, 2018

Good Off Day with Shakespeare, using only a few of the terms he coined that we still use today. The world is your oyster! There is no such thing as too much of a good thing!

Day 81: Did anyone tell you it’s National Goof Off Day? I’m sitting at my desk, at work, at noon and I had no idea I was supposed to be goofing off right now! If you have more control over your day than I do, you should be goofing off!

Since it’s still Shakespeare Week, I’ll use his phrases to make my point:

The world is your oyster! There is no such thing as too much of a good thing! Do not lie low. In my heart of hearts I believe you should play fast and loose! In one fell swoop, with neither rhyme nor reason, wear your heart on your sleeve! Make some elbow room and head off on a wild goose chase! As good luck would have it, there’s a method to my madness, because even though I am a sorry sight and in a pickle, some say as dead as a door nail at my desk, I will refuse to budge an inch while you vanish into thin air. Tis high time, for goodness sake, to send you packing! With bated breath, set off into the brave new world, break the ice, eat yourself out of house and home, wear your heart upon your sleeve, laugh yourself into stitches, and rescue someone from the jaws of death, until the game is up! Mum’s the word. I promise. I may be as jealous as a green-eyed monster that I can’t join the fray, but the day will come full circle in the twinkling of an eye, so I bid you adieu. Make haste! Before Goof Off Day is through! #MomsCompanyTowels #GoofOffDay #shakespeareweek
