Day 69: For Smatterday of Grammar Week I had planned to share a quirky video of a guy in Bristol who sneaks around town after dark and fixes the errant apostrophes on business signs. But now you’ll have to search for it on You Tube, because this happened last night! A rooftop proposal in the spot of their first date. So romantic!
Our youngest child is my Mom’s youngest granddaughter, and the only granddaughter she never met. Born two years after Mom died, we’ve always joked that Mom and Meg got to hang out in heaven together before Meg joined us here on earth.
And now Meg is officially engaged! And the date they chose? May 18!
May 18 just happens to be my mom and dad’s wedding day—73 years ago. I got shivers. It felt like a sign. This is something that most certainly would have been promptly pinned to Mom’s guest towels. Front and center.
Meg’s fiancé, Jeff, is an amazing young man. His mama passed away two years ago, and every time I look at him I feel like she’s looking at him, too. How aware and proud of him she must be! Meg and Jeff have a whole heavenly crowd of loved ones who are tickled pink for them today. I hope they feel how loved they are on both sides of that veil! #MomsCompanyTowels #May18 #WeddingBells #signsfromheaven
