Day 53: Today is Thanksday in my Towelworld, and it’s still the month of love. I’ve been clamoring on about “favorites” and you know what? Today I’m THANKFUL for my siblings, because they are my FAVORITE siblings and I LOVE them with my whole heart! They are truly the best people I know, and I’m so glad I got to grow up with them . . . well, grow up right after them. I even dedicated The Mystery Girl to them because they set the example of siblings who make a girl want to go home. In the book, Jocelyn goes home for the weekend and takes Riley along. They have a crazy-filled weekend because I gave Joss the kind of awesome family that supports and loves and meddles for all the right reasons, just like my own.
The fact that her children have stayed close to one another would make my mother very happy. I’m pretty sure she sees it. Heck, watching my own kids as grownups still having fun together and being friends is the best feeling a mom could have.
