Day 39: Today is THANKSDAY in TowelWorld, so I’m feeling thankful for the NO. Maybe not all NOs, but the ones that spur us on to try again or change our perspective. Like the time my mom had to gently explain that not everyone was blessed with the talent for singing. She was talking about me. It was a hard NO to hear, because I really love music, but it redirected me to search for the talents I could successfully possess.
Don’t get me wrong - I still sing in the car whenever I’m alone - I call it car-aoke, but I found out that there were other things I could do that I didn’t need to be sealed within the confines of my car to accomplish.
