Day 299: One of Mom’s super useful tips is using a 1/4-cup ice cream scoop as a measuring cup for all things scoopable: mayo, peanut butter, Crisco, brown sugar, cottage cheese, yogurt, sour cream, and a plethora of other possibilities. Oh, yeah! It scoops ice cream, too.
It scoops as it measures, and then ejects the ingredient right into the bowl for you. It even works with honey if you spray the scoop with a spritz of Pam first. And it makes scooping cookie dough onto the baking sheet a cinch — if you want big cookies.
Mom could be tricky. You should have seen what she could do with a binder clip.
