Day 295

Weird Tips: Duct Tape, Vinegar, and WD-40

Day 295: You know those weird tips you hear as a youngster that seem to stick with you through adulthood? Many of mine were taught by my mom, and I’ve been thinking about those.

My mother said that with the miracle items of vinegar, duct tape, and WD-40, you can fix just about anything. True to her word, I’m still finding uses for them. My son-in-law splattered wood stain on a pair of light-colored pants, and WD-40 got it out when nothing else worked. I can’t count how many hems Mom fixed with duct tape. And, vinegar? She bought it by the gallon. And now, so do I. Do you have weird childhood tips you’re still using now?
