Day 293


As I sat on the bathroom counter while Mom used tweezers to remove the gravel that was embedded into my knees, I realized life could be problematic. And when she swabbed my knees with merthiolate, I knew that life could sting.

Day 293: How old were you when you first realized there could be problems in life?

My first memory of this concept was the first time I rode my bicycle without training wheels and fell onto our freshly graveled driveway/farmyard. Little bike tires don’t move through deep gravel very well.
