Day 270: Another thing I would’ve shared with Mom . . .
National Daughters Day has calendaring issues. Some list it on September 25th, others on the 26th, and others on the fourth Sunday in September. World Daughters Day is September 28th. I’m just gonna pretend today is Daughters Day.
If I could talk to Mom, I would give her this photo of the two daughters born to me and the two daughters I inherited when my sons married. And then I would thank my mother for making me her daughter so that I could eventually have daughters of my own.
I dedicated my very first book to these beautiful, smart, accomplished women, because I love them more than I can express. And I have a pretty good idea that my mother does, too.
