Day 269

My mind is like my internet browser. 19 tabs open. 3 or them are frozen, and I have no idea where the music is coming from.

Day 269: Another thing I would’ve shared with Mom . . .

I remember watching The Ed Sullivan Show with Mom when I was little. A frantic man was spinning plates on tall dowels, keeping them all going at once. Mom said “That’s what it’s like in my head most of the time.”

I remember wondering what she meant by that.

Now I get it.

I may not be spinning plates, but juggling a dozen tasks while entertaining twenty different thoughts is not uncommon in my headspace.

I wish I could call Mom and say “I totally understand where you were coming from.” But if she has the ability to see me racing from plate to plate down here on earth, she already knows.
