Day 240

Terry Diane Cox Heath and JanaLee Cox Longhurst. 1967.

Today is my sister's birthday. Aren't we cute? We rocked 1967, if I say so myself. I'm also digging the wood paneling and floral crushed-velvet upholstery. And the groovy geese.

I remember one of her birthdays as an adult, when her friends took one of her adorable toddler photos and turned it into a billboard for all of downtown Idaho Falls to see. She was not pleased. I drove into town with Mom and Dad to take a look, and I thought it was pretty cool to see my sister, bigger than life up there against the sky. Mom said "That's the biggest birthday card I believe I'll ever see."

My sister deserves the biggest birthday cards, because she makes birthdays special for everyone else, just like our mother did. My kids grew up receiving a birthday package from Aunt Terry on every birthday. And just so the other kids wouldn't feel bad, she would add a note with a treat for everybody else in the family, too. Like I said, she's the best.

Hey, Terry! This isn't a billboard, but between my Facebook friends and yours, it'll be the biggest birthday card I could post for downtown Idaho Falls to see!

I love you, Big Sister! Happy birthday! I'm grateful you're mine. :)
