Day 171: It is Wordsday in my Towel World today. It is also my 32nd wedding anniversary, so all the words I heard on this day 32 years ago are running through my head.
Some of them were spoken by my mom—her little snippets of good advice on my wedding day. Some of the words were spoken by our friends and family, congratulating us on the embarkation of a new life together. There were powerful words spoken that day that sealed us together for eternity. And there were the words we spoke to one another - promises made - faith placed - and a lifelong commitment in rings slipped on our fingers.
Words are important, but the promises and actions and hope they hold are much more important than the words themselves. These are the words I have for my spouse today: Wherever You Are is Home to Me.
