Day 162: Have you ever walked into a gift shop where they sell cute little sayings on cute little plaques, and after browsing for five minutes felt certain they’ve been bugging your home?
That happened. There were several sayings that were universally fitting, but this one? Specifically me.
I had just posted a towel quoting my mother as saying “Don’t be wishy washy. Just act.” A bit ironic, don’t you think?
This placard’s uncanny criticism came on the heels of spending a week trying to find the perfect gift for my husband’s birthday, knowing this week would be spent trying to decide on a Father’s Day gift for him!
This was the little gem, silently mocking me from its place on the display shelf: “I used to think I was indecisive. But now I’m not so sure.”
My dad made Father’s Day gifts easy. His advice on the matter? “Anything you would choose to give me, I want to get.” That opened the door for a lot of handmade cards and coupon books and painted rocks. I used to think he liked them, but now I’m not so sure? #MomsCompanyTowels #aWeekOfDad #indecisivenesskills #makeupyourmindalready #wouldhewantthat
