Day 159

Day 159: It’s Wishes Week, and my husband’s birthday, and we started the celebration with a contingent of hot air balloons flying directly over our home! David is pretty important, but his birthday also corresponds to our community’s local summer celebration - Art City Days!

We happen to live just a couple blocks from a historic art museum, thus the name. It’s awfully handy having the whole town celebrate David’s birthday with carnivals and rodeos and concerts and parades and fireworks! Go, David!

Since it’s Wishes Week, I’m creating my own wish rule! If a hot air balloon sails over your house, you get a wish! And if a hot air balloon sails over you on your birthday, you get TEN extra wishes!

This is my wish . . . for David to know this: I love you to the moon and back, to infinity and beyond, sailing above the clouds, shooting through the stars, and soaring heavenward. And that’s a lot of love. Happy birthday to my favorite person, my other half.
