Day 104: You thought I wasn’t gonna pin anything to a towel today, didn’t you?

It’s been a Smatterday of epic proportions, and I left my phone at home when we drove to Park City, so I couldn’t use the car time to write Day 104. I was unplugged for 7 hours. I could blame someone else, but it was all my fault, and it turned out to be a lovely afternoon with no interruptions, so I don’t want to blame anyone anyway.

Did you know that besides being Scrabble Day, yesterday was also Friday the 13th, Thomas Jefferson’s birthday, AND Blame Someone Else Day? Here’s the irony - one of my favorite Jefferson quotes goes like this: “In matters of style, swim with the current. In matters of principle, stand like a rock.” He probably wasn’t very superstitious. He probably wouldn’t have approved of “Blame Someone Else Day.”

To sum up, I accidentally left my phone home. It wasn’t bad luck. It wasn’t anybody’s fault. And the absence of a mobile device wasn’t as life-altering as I imagined. Happy Smatterday! #MomsCompanyTowels #ThomasJefderson #Blamesomeoneelse
